This day is also the 85th anniversary of the death of Karol Szymanowski and the 2nd anniversary of the death of Krzysztof Penderecki.

ADAM MICHALAK – tenor
A graduate of vocal studies at the Academy of Music. K. Lipiński in Wrocław and a graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University at the Pedagogical and Artistic Faculty in Kalisz, where he is currently a voice emission lecturer.
A versatile singer who is not afraid of musical challenges. He began his solo career in the vocal ensemble Cantori Domenicali, which he founded in 2003. At that time, the group specialized in baroque music, and now under the name The Sunday Singers, performs a capella contemporary pop, jazz and classical music.
He was invited to celebrate many prestigious musical celebrations in Kalisz (including the 3rd Kalisz Organ Forum or concerts from the “Under the Sky of Kalisz” series), as well as in many cities in Germany and the Netherlands.
He has participated in many festivals in the country. These included: the 3rd European Festival of Organ Music “Silesia Sonans” in Jelenia Góra; XVII, XIX and XXI International Festival “Non Sola Scripta” in Wrocław, XXIII International Organ Festival in Legnica, 1st International Music Forum in Bardo Śląski, X Summer Festival of Opera Music in Krynica-Zdrój, as well as the 49th Moniuszko Festival in the program ” Songs and Arias by Stanisław Moniuszko” in Kudowa Zdrój. He collaborates with the Philharmonic in Kalisz, Wrocław, Częstochowa and the Theater of W. Bogusławski in Kalisz. He has performed, among others in Zakopane, in the Warsaw Amphitheater, in the Polish Baltic Philharmonic named after F. Chopin in Gdańsk, in the church of Of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Polanica Zdrój. He also appeared on TVP1, TVN, and Radio Zet.
